Aluminum gas spring

This lightweight 100% aluminum Bansbach gas spring has the same properties as a standard steel or stainless steel gas spring. The only difference is the lighter weight. Weight is a determining factor in the end use of certain products and we focus on keeping the weight of individual components as low as possible.

Aluminum gas spring is more than 50% lighter than normal gas spring. A standard gas spring with a diameter of 8/19mm weighs approximately 250g (150mm travel). An aluminum gas spring with a diameter of 8/20mm (and the same gear) weighs only about 120g.

This lighter weight is a decisive advantage when weight is an important factor, such as in airplanes.
