Dynamic gas spring

Bansbach's new gas spring damping function works regardless of position: horizontal or with the piston rod up.

This is possible because damping is not achieved through a nozzle as with conventional gas springs, but is controlled by a groove in the cylinder. As a result, the damping intensity and characteristics always remain the same in every position.

The attenuation intensity and characteristics can also be adjusted according to the customer's wishes. A smooth transition to depreciation is possible and thereby additionally saves the structure. Soft and smooth damping can protect the installation site from potential damage. Position-independent damping is available for gas springs with 15, 19 or 22 mm cylinder diameters.

When designing the right damping groove, it is important to have information about the spring installation location and its functional requirements.
